Autodesk Mesh Enabler Download Free

The Inventor Mesh Enabler is a free (but time limited) technology preview that enables Inventor users to work with imported Mesh data. Mesh Enabler is a program developed by Autodesk. The most used version is 1.0.4, with over 98% of all installations currently using this version. Mesh Enabler is a program that converts mesh features to solid base features or surface features. This function can be applied to individual or multi-selected mesh features or mesh feature folders. The graphical mesh data is converted into B-Rep Model data that can be used similar to imported solids and surfaces.

Mesh Booleans for AutoCAD is a mesh boolean modeling plug-in for AutoCAD®. Mesh Booleans for AutoCAD gives AutoCAD the ability to perform boolean operations between PolyFace Meshes, Polygon Meshes and 3D Solids or a combination of all. The geometry of a solid object can be described in AutoCAD as a 3D Solid, PolyFace Mesh or a Polygon Mesh entity. The Mesh Enabler started out as a technology preview of an add-on for Autodesk Inventor. As shipped, Autodesk Inventor creates mesh features when you import mesh data from certain file formats. The mesh features are for visualization purposes and cannot be modified. Using the mesh enabler add-on, Inventor users can convert the mesh data to base features — solids and surfaces. They can then manipulate the resultant base features as if they are native Inventor data.

The Mesh Enabler has since graduated and is now available as an add-on from the Autodesk App Store available to Autodesk Subscription customers.
